Juwan Staten (West Virginia)

West Virginia’s Juwan Staten has Mountaineer fans thinking about big things in March. And for good reason. Last season he became the player in school history to score 500 points (598), grab 150 rebounds (186) and dish out 150 assists (193) in a season. He averaged over 18 points a game and was at or near the top in just about every Big 12 statistical category in the Big 12. Staten began his career at Dayton, where he led the Atlantic 10 in assists (190). He started 34 games for the Flyers before transferring to West Virginia. The First Team All-Big 12 selection has been named to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List and the Lute Olson Award Watch List.
