Mikh McKinney (Sacramento State)

Mikh McKinney has improved his game in each of the previous two seasons at Sacramento State. The 6-foot-1 senior, who has started every game for the Hornets in his career, is playing like an All-American in his final season.  After a brief stint at Ohlone College, McKinney has emerged as a star at Sac State. Last season he became the first player in school history to be a unanimous All-Big Sky first team selection. This season he has helped the Hornets to the cusp of another first -- The first-ever trip to postseason. Regardless of how the season concludes, it’s been a terrific run in California’s state capital. McKinney is a member of the 1,000 point club and he currently ranks among the nation’s top 50 players in eight different categories.  Named to Lou Henson award mid-season Watch List, McKinney is shooting over 50% from the field. According to CI’s Angela Lento Mikh McKinney is one of the best-kept secrets in college basketball. You will know his name in March.
