THE RECORD BOOK
|
March 23, 2009
Bradley's Chris Roberts gave himself an early birthday
present and the 5,007 fans in attendance a moment to
remember as he tossed in a 75-foot heave at the buzzer to
give Bradley a stunning, 76-75, victory against Oakland in
the quarterfinals of the inaugural CIT. The miraculous shot
was the longest game-winning shot in NCAA division I
postseason history. The win moved Bradley into the
semi-finals and Chris Roberts into the record books.

Mike Evanovich scored a career-high 32 points, setting a
school record with nine three-point baskets to help the
Fairfield erase a 27-point second-half deficit en route to a
101-96 overtime win in the first round of the CIT. With
16:08 remaining Fairfield trailed George Mason, 63-36.
Fairfield then outscored George Mason 65-28 the rest of the
way, which included a five-minute overtime. The 27-point
comeback is the biggest in NCAA division I postseason
history.
