AJ Dybantsa earns second Lute Olson award National Player of Week honors

AJ DYBANTSA EARNS LUTE OLSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS

BOSTON, MA -- For the second time this season BYU’s AJ Dybantsa has been named the Lute Olson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-9 freshman posted a triple-double last week.

In BYU’s lone game last week, Dybantsa posted 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the 109-81 win over Eastern Washington. He was 11-of-13 from the field and 9-of-11 from the free throw line. It was the first triple-double of his brief career. 

The Lute Olson award is presented annually to the top player in division I college basketball. The award voting panel is made up of current division I coaches, athletic administrators, and senior College Insider staff members.
