Duke’s Cameron Boozer has been named the Lute Olson award National Player of the Week.

CAMERON BOOZER NAMED LUTE OLSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK

BOSTON, MA -- Duke’s Cameron Boozer has been named the Lute Olson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-9 freshman led the Blue Devils to a perfect 3-0 week.

Boozer opened the week with a double-double against No. 24 Kansas. He finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. He closed out the week with his fourth double-double of the season, posting 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists against Howard. For the week he averaged 19.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. 

The Lute Olson award is presented annually to the top player in division I college basketball, as voted on by current and former coaches, athletic directors and members of the media.
