Duke’s Cameron Boozer named Lute Olson award National Player of the Week

CAMERON BOOZER NAMED LUTE OLSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK

BOSTON, MA -- For the second time this season, Duke’s Cameron Boozer has been named the Lute Olson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-9 freshman helped the Blue Devils to a pair of wins, over ranked opponents.

On Tuesday, Boozer posted 29 points and six rebounds, in a 67-66 victory over No. 15 Florida. On Saturday he finished with 18 points, five assists, and a season-best 15 rebounds, in a 66-60 win at No. 7 Michigan State. 

The Lute Olson award is presented annually to the top player in division I college basketball, as voted on by current and former coaches, athletic directors and members of the media.
