TYLER TANNER EARNS LUTE OLSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS
BOSTON, MA -- Vanderbilt’s Tyler Tanner has been named the Lute Olson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot sophomore helped the Commodores to a pair of conference wins last week.
Last Wednesday Tanner scored 23 of his career-high 29 points in the second half and dished out 7 assists in a win over Alabama. On Saturday he finished with 20 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals against LSU to help keep the Commodores unbeaten on the season.
The Lute Olson award is presented annually to the top player in division I college basketball. The award voting panel is made up of current division I coaches, athletic administrators, and senior College Insider staff members.
