COLLIN PARKER EARNS LOU HENSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS

BOSTON, MA -- Austin Peay’s Collin Parker has been named the Lou Henson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-8 senior led the Governors to a pair of conference wins last week. 

On Wednesday, Parker had a career-high 39 points, to go along with 9 rebounds, in first-place showdown at Queens. He followed up that effort with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal on Saturday against Bellarmine. For the week, Parker shot 51% from the field and was 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. He was also 18-of-22 from the free throw line.

The Lou Henson award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in division I college basketball.  The award voting panel is made up of current division I coaches, athletic administrators, and senior College Insider staff members.
