Diana Cannizzaro was born and raised in the state of New Jersey. Growing up playing basketball she idled Michael Jordan, and at a young age grew a passion for basketball and all sports.
Diana received her Master’s degree in Sports Communications & Media from Sacred Heart University; she most recently served as their sideline reporter for the SNY televised football games during the 2019 season. Before joining the SportsNet NY broadcast, Diana was a team reporter for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League (AFL).
In February of 2019, she returned home after working two years as the weekend sports anchor for the ABC Affiliate, KAAL-TV in Rochester, Minnesota. Her time there was special, as she had the opportunity to cover some of her bucket list events, including Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis and the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. Diana also had the opportunity to report live from the memorable 2018 NFC divisional round playoff game, known as “The Minneapolis Miracle”.
