KYLE EVANS EARNS LUTE OLSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS

BOSTON, MA -- UC Irvine’s Kyle Evans has been named the Lute Olson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-10 senior helped the Anteaters to a big win over Hawaii in the first-place showdown in the Big West Conference.

Irvine and Evans only played one game last week, but it was a dominating performance. He finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 7 blocks and 2 steals, against the Rainbow Warriors which came into the game ranked No. 11 in the Mid-Major Top 25®. He was 7-for-12 from the field (58.3%).
