JOSH DIXON EARNS LOU HENSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS
BOSTON, MA -- Milwaukee’s Josh Dixon has been named the Lou Henson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-1 freshman led the Panthers to a pair of wins last week.
On Friday he scored a career-high 24 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists against South Dakota State. Two days later he posted a new career-best with 28 points at Cleveland State. Dixon scored nearly as many points in two games (52) as he had combined (58) through the first 10 games.
The Lou Henson award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in division I college basketball. The award voting panel is made up of current division I coaches, athletic administrators, and senior College Insider staff members.
