NILS MACHOWSKI EARNS LOU HENSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS

BOSTON, MA -- Wofford’s Nils Machowski has been named the Lou Henson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-3 junior led the Terriers to a pair of conference road wins last week.

On Wednesday Machowski came within one point of his career high with 27 points at Western Carolina. He also had seven rebounds, one block and one steal in the Southern Conference opener. On Saturday he established a new career-best with 37 points at The Citadel. For the week he shot 65.3% field, including an impressive 12-for-20 from beyond the arc. 

The Lou Henson award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in division I college basketball.  The award voting panel is made up of current division I coaches, athletic administrators, and senior College Insider staff members.
