KEON THOMPSON LOU HENSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK

BOSTON, MA -- Stephen F. Austin’s Keon Thompson has been named the Lou Henson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-1 senior led the Lumberjacks to a pair of wins to open the season.

Thompson averaged 23 points and 5 rebounds, including 26 points, 7 assists and 5 boards against Arkansas State. He shot 58% from the field.

The Lou Henson award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in division I college basketball, as voted on by current and former coaches, athletic directors and members of the media.
