TY HARPER EARNS LOU HENSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS

BOSTON, MA -- Oral Roberts’ Ty Harper has been named the Lou Henson award National Player of the Week. The 6-foot-3 senior led the Golden Eagles to a pair of conference wins last week.

On Thursday, Harper had a career-high 47 points against Denver. It was the fifth-highest single game output in Summit League history. He was a perfect 21-for-21 from the free-throw line, which is the most made free throws by any player in Division I this season. On Saturday he finished with 27 points and six assists against Kansas City. For the week, Harper shot 56% from the field and 89% from the free throw line.

The Lou Henson award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in division I college basketball.  The award voting panel is made up of current division I coaches, athletic administrators, and senior College Insider staff members.
